The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled

The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the central cast to undertake their own adventure, separate from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at a single group would be impossible.

This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

According to the DM, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where non-violent answers are rare.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest the cleric might look unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

First, the party understands precisely where to head next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose demise started the campaign’s events—used the foes for his personal gain, invading the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to auction.

The antagonist then settled his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in the northern region, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, seeks retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having disobeyed his house’s orders to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their position as key figures in the influential clan could assist the group reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and Wicander defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the clan.

This means them few options but to journey toward the remote area in search of Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

From the latest episode’s follow-up content, we discover that the combat party will be absent next week, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Seekers and Planners parties.

Audiences can look forward to learning which players will be in which group in the season’s concluding setup installment, released on the upcoming Thursday.
